The Lincoln Heritage Council of Scouting America is seeking a seasoned development professional to lead high-performing campaigns and grants across a 64-county region. This role is not an entry point into fundraising – it is for someone with a strong track record of raising six-figure revenue and managing donor and volunteer relationships at scale. About the Role
This is a senior-level fundraising position responsible for leading major development campaigns, building strategic donor relationships, and managing corporate sponsorships and grants for Scouting in Kentucky, Southern Indiana, and Southeastern Illinois. You will report directly to the Director of Development and be part of a team raising more than $2 million annually. You will be expected to increase the council’s donor base by building new relationships and deepening support from current donors, sponsors, and funders.

Only candidates with professional nonprofit fundraising experience will be considered.
This role requires at least 3 years of full-time nonprofit development experience with a proven record of securing major gifts, leading high dollar fundraising events, and managing donor pipelines.
What you will do
· Lead fundraising events generating a total of $200,000–$400,000 annually: secure sponsorships, drive revenue, manage logistics, and engage volunteers
· Actively cultivate relationships with current donors while identifying and soliciting new prospects
· Recruit and steward high-level volunteer leaders who can open doors and drive giving
· Write compelling grant proposals and manage funder relationships
What we are looking for
· Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in fundraising or development (Scouting experience is a plus but not required)
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
· Demonstrated track record of successfully developing sustainable donor relationships, securing sponsorships, leading events, and securing gifts and grants of $10,000+
· Exceptional writing, speaking, and relationship-building skills
· Experience leading volunteers
· Great interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and inspire a wide range of stakeholders
· Proven experience in creating and executing multiple fundraising campaigns and events
· Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and familiarity with donor management software

Compensation & Benefits
· Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000
· Vehicle and Cell Allowance: $5,760 annually

Working Environment & Conditions
· The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
· The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds
· This position requires working in an office environment
· This position is full-time and is an exempt role. Working hours may be required outside of the standard business day, and nights and Saturdays will periodically be required due to scope of responsibility
· Valid driver's license
· Regional travel required
