E-Z’s expert construction teams are also dependable, hardworking, and prioritize safety as the cornerstone of every project. Due to growth, we are looking for a new Project Manager.
The Project Manager must be an organized self-starter that skillfully prioritizes and artfully juggles multiple demands with sound judgement and attention to detail. In addition to ensuring the smooth operations of E-Z Construction, the Project Manager must prioritize management of all projects and coordinate resources for E-Z’s operations.
Essential Functions
Projects
· Evaluate creative options for alternate project delivery methods that streamline the project and ultimately lead to increased profitability
· Create and manage project schedules to ensure crew resources, equipment, materials and subcontractors are available when needed to efficiently complete the project
· Review plans, specifications, submittals, and other contract documents to create and manage project requirements
· Review material quotes and ensure the correct materials are ordered and delivered to the jobsite
· Oversee subcontractor proposals; schedule and manage subcontractors when working on projects
· Partner with E-Z foreman and field personnel to ensure work meets the project requirements
· Identify and evaluate innovative options for resolution when necessary
· Track, manage, and submit proposals for change order work during a project
· Track and manage costs for the project to stay in budget and increase profitability
· Provide regular updates and progress reports to VP and as requested
General
· Conduct all business in a professional, legal, and ethical manner.
· Respect the confidentiality of E-Z, customer, and employee information.
· Partner with outside inspectors, engineers, and owners during the course of the project
· Respect safety standards in all work with E-Z.
· Perform other tasks and duties assigned by the Vice President and President.
Knowledge/Skills
· Innovative Thinking: Able to develop and implement procedures regarding routine workflows and unexpected challenges.
· Leadership: May manage projects and vendors as needed to support leadership.
· Business System Knowledge: Experience with Microsoft Office and other technology.
Qualifications
· Engineering or Construction Management degree or equivalent experience
· Prior construction experience is preferred
· Demonstrated problem solver
· Innovative thinker/intellectual curiosity
· Experience with AutoCAD or similar technology is preferred
· Ability to think proactively, anticipate problems, analyze situations, develop effective solutions, and take initiative to facilitate the smooth operations and schedules for construction projects and general operations.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to represent E-Z to the public as well as interface with all levels of staff while maintaining tact, diplomacy and confidentiality.
· Ability to multi-task, prioritize, stay organized, and complete assignments under deadlines.
· Ability to work as a team member as well as independently.
Physical Requirements
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, standing, and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift 40 pounds at times.
· Minimal travel required.
